Situated approximately 10km from the US border,

Lazy River Vineyard enjoys the desert heat, constant

wind, and stony slopes that make South Cawston

such a special area to grow Syrah.

Tasting Notes: The boldest of our Syrah collection. Upfront cured

and roasted meat character is met with pronounced

plum, leather, and black olive notes on the palate.

The site's westerly exposure combined with high

winds and elevation allows for a ripe, powerful wine

with balanced acidity. Will develop further with

pleasing results for 8-10 years.

Farm Notes: Sandy clay loam with limestone and

granitic rock.
