This is not a normal Okanagan Merlot. Light to medium body, we do not try to make a big or heavy wine here. Despite the fact that this single vineyard produces amazing and serious fruit which could handle extended time in barrel, we feel the wine should highlight the inherent fruit qualities and not oak or heavy extraction. Bright, light ruby. This is a fresh, very youthful example with tight crunchy plum, morello cherry, wild blackberry, and salty, herbal thorns. Acidity is racy, and tannins are slight and furry. Give this a slight chill and enjoy with rich seafood, herbed chicken, cheese etc etc. The 2023 vintage is extra juicy and bright. Super versatile

Maker Notes: Gently de-stemmed - 5 days of skin contact. Basket pressed. Fermented in neutral French oak for 7 months. Unfined and unfiltered.
