2022SKU:
017269A bright, easy-drinking white for all occasions.
Tasting Notes: Bright and pristine in appearance, showing a pale straw-gold hue with subtle green highlights.
The nose is unmistakably Riesling-driven, offering vibrant aromas of crisp green apple, fresh lime, and juicy pear. A delicate note of dry mustard spice—something I often associate with Alsace Riesling—adds an intriguing savoury nuance.
On the palate, the wine has impressive texture and weight, with the Viognier and Pinot Blanc contributing expressive floral notes, honeyed richness, and fresh pineapple flavours. Lush, juicy, and generously fruit-forward, the touch of sweetness provides a smooth, well-rounded finish.Farm Notes: Varietal breakdown 58.2% Riesling, 26.9% Viognier, 14.9% Pinot Blanc from 2020.
100% stainless steel, the Viognier component was whole-cluster pressed to tank and fermented cool, preserving bright, fresh fruit qualities and lots of citrusy qualities. The Riesling pick date was October 5th & 6th and the Viognier came in Oct 12th and 13th. This one's a little sweeter than the last one, due to the higher R.S. of the Riesling component. Maker Notes: We set out to create a true "house white"—a wine versatile enough to pair with almost any cuisine while showcasing the diversity of white varietals grown throughout the South Okanagan, both in our own vineyards and by other local growers.
To achieve this, we selected the best and brightest aromatic white varieties and fermented and aged them entirely in stainless steel to preserve their freshness and floral character. A touch of sweetness from the Riesling brings balance to the blend, resulting in a wine that is both approachable and elegant.Food Pairing Notes: Bright and clean, pale light gold with green accents.
Very Riesling-forward nose, fresh green apple and lime, clean and crisp, and a hint of dry mustard spice (I find this is Riesling from Alsace a lot), fresh pear.
Palate has good texture/weight, more Viognier and Pinot Blanc presence here with florals, honey, fresh pineapple. It's a really fruity, juicy wine and the sweetness rounds out the finish nicely.
