Experience this juicy Siegerrebe with aromas of clean lychee, spices, and tropical fruits, complemented by a florality and a bouquet of honeysuckle. This vibrant wine is bright, fun, and aromatic, with a lively palate of grapefruit and white cranberry.



Awards Notes: 91 Pts - John Schreiner. The fruit is estate-grown Siegerrebe, an aromatic white varietal. The wine was aged eight months on the lees, with weekly stirring. It begins with dramatic aromas of lime and other tropical fruits, echoed on the palate with a whole tropical orchard, including lychee and green melon. The finish is dry, with lingering fruit and spice.

Tasting Notes: An aromatic delight, 40 Knots Siegerrebe bursts with intense floral and tropical fruit notes. The nose is filled with lychee, rose petals, and ripe peach, while the palate offers layers of juicy melon, citrus zest, and a hint of spice. A touch of honeyed sweetness balances the crisp acidity, leading to a smooth, refreshing finish. This unique varietal shines when paired with spicy dishes, fresh seafood, or creamy cheeses. Serve well-chilled for the ultimate aromatic experience.

Farm Notes: The 2023 vintage on the Comox Peninsula was exceptional, thanks to a favorable climate. After a strong start with good moisture, a warm May spell boosted vine vitality. Cooling temperatures and rain led to an early harvest, with careful hand-picking to ensure the best quality and capture the unique characteristics of each varietal.

Maker Notes: Gradual field blend hand harvest, destem, press, settle, rack clear juice with fluffly and knotty lees. Inoc in SS with EC1118 and QA23, chill ferment 14°C until 3-6°B, then let it buck. Age on lees for 8 months, stir weekly the knotty way. Monthly checks plus SO2 plus bubbles. Stabilize the Knotty Way with organic bento, temp and time. Filter and bottle.
