Tasting Notes: This vibrant Riesling offers delicate floral aromas of pear blossom, jasmine, and chamomile, mixed with lively citrus notes of lemon and lime zest. Flavors of honeydew melon and a touch of limestone minerality add depth, while a subtle salinity enhances the finish. A bright acidity is gracefully balanced by a hint of sweetness, making this wine both super refreshing and smooth to sip.
Farm Notes: The Park Hill vineyard was first planted North of Oliver tucked away in the hills in 1983 by Hans Buchler. The family run vineyard puts a focus on cover cropping and minimizing inputs; soil fertility is provided by cover crops, including hairy vetch, red and white clover, birdshot trefoil, black medic, sainfoin, and more.
Maker Notes: Hand picked and delivered to the winery on September 28th, 2023, the grapes were destemmed before being pressed, then settled. After an initial racking, the must was inoculated and fermented in stainless steel, fined, filtered and bottled.
Food Pairing Notes: Try it with oysters mignonette, poached salmon with a lemon sauce, bright fish tacos, or a nice roasted chicken with grilled lemons.
