Tasting Notes: Opulent notes of orange blossom, honeysuckle, ginger, and cardamom lead the nose. On the palate, this Gewürztraminer strikes a fine balance between richness and freshness with a soft mouthfeel and balanced acidity. Off dry flavours of apple, lychee, pear, and candied pineapple linger long after the last sip.
Farm Notes: 2023 was a warmer growing season in the Okanagan Valley. Grapes were hand harvested from Gewürztraminer vines planted in 2011 on our Demeter certified estate vineyard in Kelowna, BC.
Maker Notes: Fruit was hand harvested from the Summerhill Estate Vineyard. Grapes were destemmed, crushed, and left to soak on the skins for 12 hours with no temperature control. The grape must was pressed off the skins into a stainless steel vessel. Based on Biodynamic principles, this wine was naturally fermented with ambient farm yeasts.
Food Pairing Notes: Perfect with spicier exotic dishes, or just on it's own.
