Tasting Notes: This medium-bodied red is slightly off dry, balancing the high acidity and low tannins that are classic to this hybrid varietal, giving it a very smooth mouthfeel. Notes of cherry, cranberry and chocolate with a light tobacco and leather round out the flavours making it an easy drinking slightly sweet red.

Farm Notes: Grapes sourced from Marechal Foch vines lovingly cultivated in soils comprised of silt, glacial rock and gravel at the Buchler family’s organic Park Hill Vineyard in Oliver, BC. 2023 was a warm and dry vintage in the Okanagan Valley, yielding red wines of fruity intensity and balance.

Maker Notes: The wine was fermented in oak foudre. The fermentation stopped on it’s own with some residual sugars and the wine underwent malo-lactic fermentation in a stainless steel tank before being filtered and bottled. Because of the off-dry quality of the final wine, it was not further aged in barrels.

Food Pairing Notes: Best enjoyed with baby back ribs, Chinese hot pot, or any sweet spicy dishes.
